“Saadesati” written by Vishal Aksh

Preface

(i) It was perhaps some time before December 1989 I came to know about Saade – Saati through different Hindu Calendars with Moon Sign readings or Name Sign readings.

(ii) Year 1990 was perhaps the year in which I understood the judgment of Saade – Saati through several books on Jyotish written in Hindi by various authors perhaps from Meerut and Rajasthan but now I neither have those authors in my memories nor have those books written by them.

(iii) In year 1991 I read a book by Mr. K.S. Krishnamurti the originator of Kp in which he criticized Saade – Saati  on various grounds by allotting auspicious results to it and this made me motivated to check the authenticity of the claim of Mr. K.S. Krishnamurti about Saade – Saati.

Note: All the theories propounded by Mr. K.S. Krishnamurti to design his so called Kp System fail miserably. I admit that as an astrologer he was great but as a researcher and author he was a fob or concealed facts.

(iv) I also saw various Astrologers taking Saade – Saati from Name Sign, Vedic Sun Sign & Ascendant.

Note: In several texts on Vedic Jyotish the first Akshar (Sanskrit or Hindi alphabet) of the name to be given to newly born infant is advised to be based on Vedic Moon sign or the Akshar (Sanskrit or Hindi alphabet) allotted to the Charana of Moon but in most of the cases a large number of person don’t have their First Akshar of Names based on Akshar (Sanskrit or Hindi alphabet) allotted to Moon so in short it can be said that Name Rashi can be same or different from one’s Natal Moon.

Note: The advance researches conducted by me on Ashtakavarga led me to conclude that Saade – Saati should only be considered from Chandra Lagna or Vedic Moon Sign not from Surya Lagna and Lagna (Sidereal Vedic Ascendant)

(v) The Name Sign is very easy to calculate if you know one’s Name existing in official records. I saw most of the people running under Saade – Saati across their Name Signs were suffering on account of Physical & Mental Health, Wealth and profession and still I saw most of people. My long experiences in the field of Vedic Jyotish lead me to conclude that under specific conditions Saade – Saati can also be considered through Name Signs. This Article is not on Name Signs so in future an Article will be written in this context.

(vi) Saade – Saati was found valid in my long experience of about three decades in the field of Vedic Jyotish but I did not find the term Saade – Saati written in any ancient text based on Vedic Jyotish and this made me surprised but in Chapter: 21 of the Book titling “My Experiences In Astrology” written by the legendry Dr. B.V. Raman while narrating his trip to North India Dr. B.V. Raman writes an episode in which he gets valuable knowledge about the functioning of Saade – Saati  in terms of giving good as well as bad results from a Sadhu in Hardwar and that proved true in the experiences of Dr. B.V. Raman. In modern era Dr. B.V. Raman is only the authority of Vedic Jyotish so the concept of Saade – Saati can be said to be a Vedic origin.

(vii) It was within Year 1991 to Year 1992 while studying Phaldeepika a great text on Vedic Jyotish through self efforts I saw bad results attributed to Saturn’s Transit in 12th from Moon results in wealth loss on account of the actions of foes, over natal Moon as diseases (Nature of diseases not specified so it may be Physical, mental or transmitted etc) and transiting 2nd from Natal Moon Saturn results in loss of wealth in other words the entire 7.5 years described as adverse years.

(ix) The term Saade – Saati is a Hindi term and nowhere its original Sanskrit term is mentioned so in the absence of authentic Sanskrit sources describing its Title in Sanskrit at present it is absolutely impossible to write about the Title Saade – Saati

(x) It was from Year 2008 and onwards the existences of Saturn’s transitory phase across Moon were found in Bhavishya Purana in an indirect form and in Shanivajrapanjar Strotra of Brhamand Purana in a direct form.

(xi) There are some जनश्रुतियाँ (Janshrutian or folklores) about the Saade – Saati and although they have no basis, they explain Saade – Saati well as its predictive values are concerned.

(xii) In this Article several already written Articles concerning Saade – Saati by me on various social sites also included for a clear understanding about Saade – Saati

(xiii) I hope this Article written by me will prove insightful for all the learner and researchers of Vedic Jyotish and also prove delightful for experts.

(xiv) The terms written in this Article as Saadesati, Saade – Saati or Saade Saati  where ever you find are written for Saadesati.

Chapter (I)

The Origin Of Saade – Saati

There is a great episode in Bhavishya Purana which explains Saade – Saati and its remedies and that episode is also given for your benefits in forthcoming subparagraphs:

(i) Lord Surya had a consort named Sangya and from Sangya he had three children named Vaivast Manu, Yama and Yamuna. Because of the extreme light of Surya his consort Sangya was not able to live with him more and she left him by leaving his Chhaya (Image) behind her. Chhaya started to act like Sangya in her absence so from Chhaya the three children of Surya were Savarni Manu, Shani (Saturn) and Tapti. Because of the passing of time lord Surya observed uneven behavior of Chhaya towards all the children as her behavior towards Savarni Manu, Shani (Saturn) and Tapti was positive and towards Vaivast Manu, Yama and Yamuna was negative this led lord Surya to conclude that she was a form of Maya who was of the shape and size of his consort Sangya and then lord Surya ended the Chhaya. This created the differences between Chhaya’s sons (Savarni Manu & Shani) and Surya as both of them blamed their father Surya to vanish their mother Chhaya. In a battle both the sons of Chhaya got defeated by Surya. After that defeat both Savarni Manu & Shani went to Himalaya and did Tapasya to appease Mahakali.

(ii) It took three years for them to appease Mahakali through Tapasya then goddess Mahakali appeared and she blessed both of them. After getting of Mahakali’s blessings Savarni Manu & Shani started fighting with lord Surya and this time lord Surya got defeat and then lord Surya left the battle and went away.

(iii) In the delightful region of Kurukhand Sangya the consort of Surya was doing Tapasya in the form of Vadya (Ashwa or Mare) to get her husband Surya back and when lord Surya reached near here he saw his consort Sangya in the form of mare and then lord Surya transformed himself in to the form of a Ashw (Horse) and he lived with that Vadya (Ashwa) in that form of Ashw (Horse) for five years. The twines jointly known as Ashwanikumara were born to them. Ashwanikumara after knowing the pains of their father Surya situated themselves in sky and there both of them defeated Savarni Manu & Shani and then defeated Savarni Manu & Shani were put before lord Surya and then lord Surya made them पङ्गु (Pangu or Handicapped) by striking them with an iron rod.

(iv) Lord Surya was very much pleased and he also gave boon to both the Ashwanikumara that the elder Aswanikumara will get Idadevi the real power of Moon as his consort whereas the younger Ashwanikumar will get Pingala the real power of Surya as his consort and whenever Shani (Saturn) in its transit comes to 12th Sign from one’s Rashi (Vedic Moon Sign) then the worship of Idapati (Elder Ashwanikumara) will prove fruitful, whenever Savarni Manu transits 2nd Sign from one’s Moon Sign then the worship of Pinglapati (Younger Ashwanikumara) proves fruitful and whenever Devi Tapanti (Tapti) transits one’s Rashi (Vedic Moon Sign) the Idaa & Pingla will prove as strong remedy.
Note: Since there are no Planets or Upagraha like Sarvani Manu & Devi Tapanti (Tapti) so there transits become out of question but it is written in Bhavishya Purana which has a Vedic base. Keeping this in view the interpretation in this context can be given as the transit of 2nd Sign from one’s Rashi (Vedic Moon Sign) is known as Savarni Manu and that in Chandra Lagna(Vedic Moon Sign) as Tapti and thus the concept of Saadesati emerges. One thing is clear Idaa and Pingla are the chief Nadi in Yoga so whenever Saturn transits the Rashi (Vedic Moon Sign) the practicing of Lomaa Viloma  Pranayama is the strong Remedy and there is no harm if that can be also practiced throughout the period of Saadesati. But how to worship Idapati & Pinglapati to be taken as remedy for 12th and 2nd Rashi (Vedic Moon Sign) transits of Shani (Saturn) is not clearly given in Bhavishya Purana.

(v) After getting boons from their father Surya both of the Ashwanikumara became Devavaidya (Divine Doctors or Doctors of Devtas)
Note: It is within my experiences of thirty years in the field of Vedic Jyotish that medical treatments performed in case any death inflecting diseases appears in the period of Saadesaati prove effective and beneficial.

(vi) From the other Ansha (Parts) of Savarni Manu and Shani the evolution of Rahu & Ketu took place and as written earlier that scared Surya from them escaped so their Evolutions Rahu & Ketu also become cause to give him pains in the form of Solar Eclipse and the emergence of both of the Ashwanikumara was happened to pacify Shani (Saturn), Savarni Manu, Rahu & Ketu and the worship of both of the Ashwanikumara remove the ill effects of Saturn, Rahu & Ketu.
Note: This is very different legend about the emergence of Rahu & Ketu given in Bhavishya Puran but the emergence of Rahu from Shani (Saturn) given in the legend witnesses the dictum Shanivad Rahu.

Note: Every Mantra Japa of Vedas is followed by a Yajya so if the Vedic Mantra of Ashwanikumara is recited then a Yagaya is to be performed as a fundamental duty. There are several who erroneoussly believe that both of the Awanikumara have no right to accept the donations and Samidha of the Yagya but in Bhavishya Purana it is clearly mentioned that they too can accept the donations and Samidha and their shares in Yagya because the Vedic Muni Chavan’s pressurized Devraj Indra to accept both of the Ashwanikumara as Devta by allotting them the donations & samidhas in a Yagya. The following is the powerful Vedic Mantra to appease Ashwanikumara:

ॐ अश्विना तेजसा चक्षुः प्राणेन सरस्वती वीर्यम्। वाचेन्द्रो बलेन्द्राय दधुरिन्द्रियम्। ओं अश्विभ्यां नमः
[Om Ashvina Chakshuh Praanen Sarsvati Viryam! Vachendro Balendraay Dadhuriindriyam! Om Ashvibhyaam Namah]

(vii) In शनिवज्रपञ्जर स्तोत्र (Shanivajrapanjara Stotra) given in ब्रह्माण्डपुराण (Brhamandapurana) it is written that whenever Shani (Saturn) transits व्ययजन्मद्वितीयस्थो (Vayjanamdwitistho, 12th, 1st & 2nd ) Signs from one’s Janamrashi (Vedic Lunar Sign) or in an adverse place (i.e.4th  or 10th from one’s Janamrashi) or 7th Sign from one’s Janamrashi or 8th Sign from one’s Janamrashi then all the evil effects arising from these transits turns into auspicious effects with the blessings of Shani (Saturn) whenever the शनिवज्रपञ्जर स्तोत्र (Shanivajrapanjara Stotra) is recited and the person even gets the neutralization of all the evil effects arising out if Saturn occupies his Ascendant in his Natal Horoscope. The following is that concerned Sanskrit Shloka:

व्ययजन्मद्वितीयस्थो दुष्टस्थितिगतोपि वा।
कलत्रस्थो गतो वापि सुप्रीतस्थो सदा शनिः॥
अष्टमस्थे सूर्यसुते न पीडा जायते क्वचित्।
इत्येतत्कवचं दिव्यं सौरेर् यन्निर्मितं पुरा॥
जन्मलग्नगतान् दोषान् सर्वान्नाश्यते प्रभुः॥
[Vayjanamdwitistho Dusthsthitigatopi vaa!
Kalatrstho Gato Vaapi Sopreetstho Sadaa Shani!!
Ashtmasthe Suryasute Nae Peeda Jaayte Kvachit!
Ityetetkavcham Divyam Sorer Ynnimitam Puraa!!
Janamlagangataan Doshaan Sarvannaashyte Prabhu!!]

(viii) In Vedic Jyotish the Sanskrit wordings व्ययजन्मद्वितीयस्थो (Vayjanamdwitistho) or the Transiting Saturn from 12th, 1st & 2nd from one’s Janamrashi (Natal Vedic Moon Sign) is known as Saadesati in modern times so it is not a new concept as it is already given in वैदिक पुराण (Vedic Purana).

“Some Other Facts About Sade - Saati” – an article written by Vishal Aksh

(i) You cannot form definite rule on account of benefice disposition of Saturn for particular signs such as Tula, Vrish, Makar & Kumbh in the period of Sade Sati. People with these signs are also found the greatest sufferers under the phase of Saadesati. People with Vrischika, Dhanu and Mesh rashi also found to enjoy prosperity under the phase of Sade Sati. Years before I read someone's research about Saadesatiand according to that person Saadesatiis harmful to people having there Moon in fiery signs like Mesh, Simh & Dhanur. I also found it true in a number of horoscopes but also found the exceptions and rules giving these exceptions.
Note: For Tula & Vrish Lagna Saturn becomes the best Yogakarka Planet so several Astrologers opine that in Saadesati to Vrish and Tula Rashi Saturn according to them give good results.

(ii) Application of Ashtaka Varga is brilliant scheme to delineate the effects of Saadesatibut not in a way as written in modern books and for that the real meaning of Ashtaka Varga needs to be understood and this will be discussed in the forthcoming Chapter (III) of this Article.

(iii) I have heard some astrologers apply the concept of Saadesati to divisional charts but I do not think it is right approach but I suggest the application of transit of Saturn over the positions of Moon in divisional charts and it should also be judge precisely in Bhansh (D27) chart. But on the other hand positions of Moon in divisional charts are of great help in analyzing the effects of Saadesati over one's natal Moon.
Note: Several Astrologers are of opinion that Saadesati is to be judged with respect to the position of Moon in various Divisional Charts. For example if Moon occupies Mesh Rashi in Dashmansh Chart then whenever Saturn transits Meen Rashi the Saadesati so operated for Mesh Rashi affects the profession adversely and so on for other Divisional Charts but this did not come true in my experience of about thirty years in the field of Vedic Jyotish.
Note: Bhansh Chart (D27) indicates Strength & Weakness and Moon indicates Mana (Mind) & Mood so its position in Bhansh Chart also indicates Mental Strength so if it influences Bhansh Lagna or 3rd house in Bhansh Chart (D27) then Saturn will affect the Mental Strength adversely in its Saadesati.

(iv) Some astrologers also recommend the commencement of Saadesati 45⁰ before the DMS of Moon to 45⁰ ahead of the DMS of Moon in one's horoscope but I have found this Saadesati giving its effect as its usual commencement i.e. one sign before the position of Moon in one's horoscope.

“The Considerations Of Saadesati” – an article written by Vishal Aksh

(i) In year 1991, I was on the way of understanding Vedic astrology by self efforts but any how I was able to cast any horoscope with Rashi Chart, Chalit Chakra, Shodashvarga, Shadabala, Ashtakavarga, Annual horoscopes, Horary horoscope & Vinshottri dasha along with yogini dasha. At that time it took a fortnight to cast such detailed horoscope but I used to cast and predict. Some of my predictions given to various people & friends came into being in that year and that gave me enough confidence to understand Vedic Jyotisha. Here I would like to advice to every learner of Vedic astrology that he should try to construct horoscope with his own efforts by keeping him away from computerized horoscopes unless he gets enough confidence to cast any horoscope and it will help him to understand the predictive side of Vedic astrology.

(ii) At that time Saadesati was supposed to be a curse in Vedic astrology and in several magazines based on Vedic astrology I used to read the various views about it by different astrologers & authors. According Dr. B. V. Raman the consideration of Saadesati should be from Moon sign or Chander Lagna and I found it working in several cases. Some authors were of the views that the consideration of Saadesati should be from Ascendant or Lagna but I found that in most of the cases the transit of Saturn through Lagna found to give auspicious results and proved milestone so this idea of the consideration of Saadesati from Ascendant never convinced me. Some Vedic Sun sign Readers were of the opinion that this Saadesati should be considered from Vedic Sun sign or Surya Lagna and in several cases I saw it working specially when Saturn transited Surya Lagna but there were several exceptions too and then I found people doing mantra japa regularly got glorious results during that transit of Saturn through Surya Lagna so at that time I concluded that Saadesati should be considered from Moon sign or Chandera Lagna. The cycle of Moon displays its phases and affects the human beings at their various phases of life so Saadesati should always be considered from Moon sign or Chandra Lagna and thus I understood the working of Saadesati in this way.

(iii) In that year 1991 I saw several exceptions of working of Saadesatiin several cases too and this led me to conclude that the basis of Saadesatiis transit and it would be better to understand the true concept about transit or Gochara. Then I started paying more attention to transits and many times it looked easy and many times it became tough to understand it properly.

(iv) In year 1991 when I saw that in Brihit Prashara Hora Shaastra & Brihit Jataka that scheme of Gochara was not mentioned It gave me surprise but I found that technique of Vedic transit (Gochara) well described in Phaladeepika. In Phaladeepika the auspicious results of transits of planets are described as given below in the Table:

(v) At that time I often used to think about the basis of transit given in Phaladeepika and why this type of popular transit scheme did not find place in Brihit Prashara Hora Shaastra & Brihit Jataka? This further enhanced my curiosity and then it became necessary for me (1) To find the basis of the transit given in Phaladeepika as shown in above Table. (2) To find the Lagna out of Lagna, Chandera Lagna or Surya Lagna suitable for the consideration of Saadesati from that base used in Phaladeepika to describe transits of planets.

(vi) Manteshwara in his great work Phaladeeepika, praised Vedic muni Parashara and his works and that clearly meant that Manteshwara developed this system of transit of planets from the works of Parashara i.e Brihit Prashara Hora Shaastra. I was very much sure that the basis of transit as given in Phaladeepika must have its roots in Brihit Parashara Hora Shaastra.

(vii) In year 1992 or so a thought appeared in my mind that It is Ashtakavarga which is much praised in various texts on Vedic Jyotisha and it is also used in Brihit Prashara Hora Shaastra to judge the transit results of Planets & also described in Brihit Jataka and I should relate Gochara scheme given in Phaladeepika with Ashtakavarga scheme as given in Brihit Parashar Hora Shaastra.

(viii) I then took Ashtakavarga of Various planets and tabulated them and when these tables of various Ashtakavargas of planets were prepared I glanced at those tables then I saw in the Ashtakavarga of every Planet the contributions of auspicious points from Moon to various houses counting from it and I got the missing link. The following tables are used to construct the Ashtakavarga of any horoscope:

(ix) I saw the horizontal line headed by Moon in every Ashtaka Varga table of planets were same and in agreement with the auspicious Gochar places of Planets from any Lunar sign or Chandera Lagna as described by Manteshwara in Phaladeepika and that showed the root of Gochar places allotted to various planets from Lunar sign existing in Brihit Prashar Hora Shaastra and thus I found the basis of transit of Planets from Lunar sign or Chandra Lagna.

(x) Everyone can see the red horizontal lines each & every Ashtakavarga headed by Moon and compare it with the various auspicious places of Planets from the Chandera Lagna of any horoscope given in the Table of Transit.

(xi) In Saturn’s Ashtakavarga the Sun’s auspicious lines indicates another fact that Saturn transiting 1st, 2nd, 4th, 7th, 8th, 10th & 11th from ones natal Sun gives auspicious results (See the Dark Blue Lines in Saturn’s Ashtakvarga). This means Saturn transiting from 1st from one’s natal Sun give good and auspicious results and this means it is not good to consider Saade saati from Sun sign or Surya Lagna. Though Saturn Transiting over one’s natal Sun in actual practice give hurdles and tensions but Sun being the planet signifying Aatma so here spiritual remedies works to obtain the auspicious results of the Saturn transiting one’s natal Sun.

(xii) In Saturn’s Ashtakvarga the Lagna’s auspicious lines indicates that  the transiting Saturn is found to give benefic results in 1st, 3rd, 4th, 6th, 10th, & 11th from Lagna (See the purple lines in Saturn’s Ashtakavarga). Here one thing is important to be noted that while transiting Lagna Saturn appears to give benefic results and if Saadesati is to be considered from Lagna then this place should not be benefic place for transiting Saturn as per Ashtaka Varga rules. Thus Saadesati cannot be considered from Lagna.

(xiii) The foregoing reasoning on the basis of Ashtakavarga given in this chapter of this Article clearly indicate that Saadesati should be considered from Rashi (Vedic Moon Sign)

(xiv) This Chapter (III) of this Article is a part of an Article originally written by me titling “Wonders Of Ashtakavarga” published on my website. “Some Tips On Saade – Saati” – an article written by Vishal Aksh

(i) No one can design fixed rules to delineate the results of Saadesati.
(ii) Basically Saadesati is the action of Tamsik Planet Saturn ruling sorrows, feeling of guilt, depression and darkness on the Moon which is the extremely active(here Kriyavaan not Chetan) and abstract (here mana or mind?) agency ruling the senses so it has nothing to do with specific zodiacal sign even ruled by Saturn itself.
(iii) An unhealthy mind (action of Saade – Saati on Moon) cannot take proper decisions and ultimate it affects the body as a whole. That is what Saade – Saati reflects.
(iv) In any horoscope judge the weaknesses coming out of the Moon on account of its position, ownership and the aspects falling on it and you get those weaknesses in enhanced form in the phase of Saade – Saati.
(iv) Always remember Saade – Saati never disregards the manifestation of any Dhana Yoga, Raj Yoga or any other auspicious yoga if that is found active under the phase of Saade – Saati.

(i) If you are judging your client's horoscope and you find the phase of Saade - Saati going on in his horoscope
(II) You predict that within Saade - Saati these adverse events are 'Likely To Occur' if you know how to read Rashi Chart.
(III) Under similar conditions you predict within
Saade - Saati these adverse events will 'Occur' if you know how to use Divisional Charts in predicting the events.
(iv) For the benefits of all of you I am providing a part of my researches on Saadesati: If in one’s Trishansh chart Moon is found in 1st, 6th, 7th, 8th or 12th house then that person suffers on account of diseases, accidents and other miseries during the period of Sade-Sati.

Chapter (VI)

“What is Sade-Sati?” – an article written by Vishal Aksh

In this chapter Sade-Sati is explained: -

This is the most controversial thing among the astrologers and common people of India following Vedic system of astrology.

A big question mark appears before Sade-Sati. Some learned are of the view that sade-sati is like a curse and predicting any good within this period is not advisable. Other learned are of the opinion that sade-sati is effect less. The common people who follow the astrological path get confused by these two prevailing views about sade-sati.

In my experience of many years in the field of astrology I have found sade-sati both effective & less effective. It is very difficult for an amateur astrologer to predict on the basis of sade-sati in advance.

But on the contrary when a sufferer comes and astrologer finds the phase of sade-sati working then he immediately injects the fear of sade-sati and thereby making him weaker & weaker. Instead of vaccinating so many remedies are prescribed and the poor person apart of following them gets punctured.

On the other hand a Sade-Sati sufferer appears before a research minded astrologer. He at once makes him fearless by saying sade-sati is effect less. So be sure nothing is going to be adverse. Both dasha & antar dasha are good and transit of Jupiter is favorable. So rest assured. But unfortunately in 3 to 6 months the person becomes bankrupt, meets with an accident and his entire business comes to standstill.

In above mentioned one case the person becomes mentally punctured and in second case the result needs not to be mentioned. In either case it was the person who suffered on account of astrologers in the phase of sade-sati.

Now a big question further arises how does a common person estimate that he should approach to a good astrologer in the phase of sade-sati?

Before that it will be better to understand the logic behind sade-sati. The sade-sati is nothing but the transit of Saturn from 12th, 1st & 2nd houses from one’s rashi. Saturn roughly takes 2.5 years to transit a rashi. In sade-sati it will take 2.5 × 3=7.5 years to transit these three consecutive signs there by it is known as Saade - Saati.

In Vedic Jyotish Moon is treated as water and presides over मन (Mana= Mind?). In other words there is astrological relationship between मन (Mana) & जल (Water). To make it more clear look at still water pond and simultaneously feel the मन (Mana). In still water pond a small air current creates disturbances in water. In water pond whether it is a small air current or something falling into the water pond result in the disturbances in the surface of water. Just like water pond filled with water the मन (Mana) is filled with emotions & desires.

So, any negative or positive feeling, affect the मन (Mana). Hence the मन (Mana) is a pond of emotions & desires. Thus astrologically water pond model fits Moon.

Following this rule, in astrology, the transit of every planet except Moon & Venus on one’s Moon sign is treated as inauspicious and results in emotional disturbances & non fulfillment of one’s desires. Moon & Venus are supposed to be watery planets and water easily mixes with water hence transit of Moon & Venus over Moon sign is considered as auspicious.

Further all planets transiting 12th sign from one’s Moon sign give inauspicious results except Venus. All the benefices like Jupiter, Venus & Mercury except Moon give good results and all the malefic like Saturn, Mars & Sun give bad results while transiting 2nd sign from one’s Moon sign.

It is clear from above, that malefic planets, such as Saturn, Mars & Sun while transiting through 12th, 1st & 2nd signs from one’s Moon sign give adverse results. Among the malefic planets Sun transits a sign in 30 days, Mars in 45 days & Saturn in 2.5 year.

Sun takes 30 × 3=90 days to transit three consecutive sign, Mars takes 45 × 3= 135 days and Saturn takes 2.5 × 3 = 7.5 years to transit three consecutive signs.

The total time taken by Sun to transit three consecutive signs is very less i.e. only 90 days and that of Mars is 135 days which is less than half a year. Here comes what is known as will power of a person. This is the will power which strengthens the मन (Mana) in astrological terms this will power strengthens the Moon.
The transit of Mars & Sun is not strong enough to disturb one’s will power & psychology and thus astrologically there is no damage to the strength of Moon.

On the other hand 7.5 years of the transit of Saturn i.e. sade-sati badly affects the emotions & psychology of a person and there by punctures the one’s will power there by crushes one’s desires.

By nature Saturn is तामसिक (Tamsik). It imparts its तामसिक (Tamsik) nature to Moon in its Saade - Saati thus making one’s मन (Mana) totally तामसिक (Tamsik) and with this result negative feelings start evolving. The stability of मन collapses and because of this there is total inability to take full use of one’s intelligence. Thus within this period one’s major decisions of life prove fruitless.

Within Sade-Sati one’s power of judgment also crushes and thus the intellect to decide good or bad and right or wrong becomes inactive.

Then this worried, confused & unhealthy मन (Mana) affects one’s health and sometimes one’s prosperity. But if the Moon (मन, Mana) is strong then sade-sati does not affect the मन (Mana) much and thus there is saving of one’s physical and mental health along with one’s prosperity up to a great extent. That is why earlier I have written sade-sati is either effective or less effective. Affectless Saade - Saati is a rare phenomenon.

Let me explain the working of sade-sati from an old and well known story. Here I would like to write this story in brief as to make this very clear: -

Once upon a time in a jungle there lived two animals one was a rabbit and another tortoise. They never liked each other and tried their best to defame other one. Once for becoming superior both of them decided to have a race and the winner would be declared as superior.

A race was started between them. The rabbit was fast runner and that of tortoise a slow runner. The rabbit ran very fast and tortoise was slowly chasing him. After some time, rabbit was miles away from tortoise. Here is the first stage of this story where rabbit was being chased by tortoise in a race.

After going far away rabbit suddenly stopped and moved back and there was no tortoise but here only he knew that he was being chased by that tortoise. The rabbit started thinking that he had almost won the race and some formalities are still there to make him final winner. He thought it would be very good to have a rest till the arrival of tortoise and as soon as tortoise would arrive there he will again run very fast and in that way he would make tortoise further depressed. Finally rabbit took a rest under a tree situated nearby. Because of his confidence his ego touched the hike and with this effect he slept under that tree. After a long time interval the tortoise approached him and he saw the rabbit sleeping under that tree. That tortoise slowly moves ahead. The tortoise approaching the sleeping rabbit slowly is the second stage of this story.

Now the entire scene was changed the tortoise was miles away from the sleeping rabbit. When rabbit wake up he saw footprints of that tortoise nearby. He at once ran very fast and in entire he saw nothing but the footprints of that tortoise. The slow runner tortoise won the race. The slow runner tortoise became invisible to the eyes of that rabbit by leaving him behind and thus creating his own victory. It is the third stage of this story.

Perhaps everyone knows this story. If this story is judged astrologically then it wonderfully shows the working of Saade - Saati. According to Vedic Jyotish Moon presides over rabbit and Saturn presides over tortoise. In entire three stage of this story rabbit was found sleeping showing the position of radical Moon in one’s horoscope. In first stage tortoise’s chase towards sleeping rabbit shows the 12th house transit of Saturn from one’s radical Moon. In the second stage of the story, the tortoise approaching the sleeping rabbit slowly shows Saturn’s transit over one’s radical position of Moon. The third stage of this story in which slow runner tortoise becomes invisible to the eyes of the rabbit by leaving him behind and his becoming of final winner shows the transit of Saturn 2nd from the house occupied by radical Moon in one’s horoscope.

Sade-Sati is supposed to give its indications around six months before its actual commencement.

Nowadays with the increasing popularity of Vedic Jyotish the common people also have awareness about astrological terms and its working. On this basis the common people are classified into two groups (1) The first group belongs to those people who can understand horoscope and its patterns. (2) The second group belongs to those people who understand the general terms used in Vedic Jyotish but cannot understand the horoscope and its patterns.

The following are the indications of sade-sati by tracing which one may prepare oneself to approach a good astrologer. These sade-sati indications are given on the basis of above mentioned two groups.

(1) Indications of sade-sati for group (1): - If one finds in horoscope the phase of sade-sati and in addition to that he also finds (1) the yogni dasha of ulka or sankata is going on within the period of sade-sati. (2) In Kaal Chakra dasha among simhavlokan gati, markati gati or mandooki gati any one of them is going on. (3) In one’s family a large number of members are under the phase of Saade - Saati. If anyone or more symptoms as given below occurs only than one should think to approach an astrologer:

(2) Indications of Saade - Saati for group (2): - If one finds consecutive weekdays e.g. around 8 consecutive Saturdays, Tuesdays, Sundays or any other weekdays, in the initial phase of sade-sati, tough and some repeated bad events occurs on these weekdays then one should approach to an astrologer. Here bad events are (1) minor injuries (2) Occurrence of repeated fever (3) A specific person becoming source of trouble every consecutive weekday (4) Repeated losses in these consecutive weekdays (5) Having dreadful same dreams in these days.

Always Remember: (i) Though sade-sati can be effective or less effective but if any Rajyoga (Yoga of prosperity) or Dhanyoga (Yoga of wealth) occur within sade-sati then this yoga is bound to occur.

(ii) Saade – Saati is considered only in Vedic Zodiac or Sidereal Zodiac

Note: IN THE ABOVE ARTICLE I HAVE NOT CRITICIZED ANY ASTROLOGER DEVOTED TO ASTROLOGY. BUT SOMEHOW THE ASTROLOGERS CRITICIZED IN ABOVE ARTICLE ARE THOSE WHO MISSLEAD THE PUBLIC AND HAVE LITTLE KNOWLEDGE ABOUT Vedic Jyotish.

“A Note On Guru” – by Vishal Aksh

Perface

(i) It is true that in Sanatan Hindu Dharma the place of Guru is held superior to all but it is also true that the concept of Guru is always misunderstood by most of practicing Hindus.

(ii) Nowadays people started saying that the ancient tradition of Hinduism nominates the rank of a Guru even superior to Parmatma and it is a wrong concept. In this Article it will be described in detail.

(iii) It is essential to understand the in depth meaning of Guru first and in this Article the meaning of the Sanskrit word Guru will be explained.

(iv) It is from the Vedic India the word Guru is used to address Rishi, Muni, Purohit, Yogi, Sadhak, Tapasvi,Sadhu, Mantrika, Tantrika, Yantrika, Kavi, Bhakta, Writers, expert Singers, expert Dancers, expert Dramatists , Devagya(Superior Astrologers), Aacharya (Professors) and Shikshak (Teachers). Addressing them as Guru was considered as an effective Mantra to get their blessings, preaching and knowledge in simple and easy way.

(v) Though the Sanskrit word Guru has been well defined in Vedic Literatures. Such various categorizations of Guru existing in Literatures have been given under (5), (6), (7), (8) & (9) of the forthcoming Chapter: What Does The Dharma Teach Us All?

(vi) In Vedic Puranas also the term Guru was allotted to Brihaspati (Jupiter) as Deva Guru (Guru of Devtas) and Shukara (Venus) as Asur Guru (Guru of Rakshas) and thus in Vedic Jyotish Jupiter is known as Guru and Venus is known as Asur Guru.

(vii) On physical plane Guru (Jupiter) plays an important role in making one a Guru if this Guru (Jupiter) occupies specific position in his horoscope. In some forthcoming chapters of this Article this will be discussed in detailed

(viii) Prithuysas in his immortal work “Hora Sara” held Guru (Jupiter) the giver of Trikala Gyana (Knowledge of Past, Present & Future). There he says that when Guru (Jupiter) occupies the 10th house from Lagna, Moon or Sun or becomes the lord of lord Ansh occupied by the lord of 10th house from Lagna, Moon or Sun the person becomes able to see Past, Present & Future.

Chapter (I)
Who Is Ultimate Guru?
(1) In Vedic Literatures the following Sanskrit Shloka is found in the praise of Guru:

Gururbrhama Gururvishnurgururdevo Maheshwarah!
Guruh Sakshaat Parbraham Tasmai Shrigurve Namah!!

(2) General Meaning Of Aforesaid Sanskrit Shloka: Guru is Brahma (The creator), Guru is Vishnu (Preserver) and Guru is Maheshwara (Destroyer). Guru is the displayed Parmatma and I bow before that excellent Guru.

Note: The Sanskrit word परब्रह्म (Parbraham) indicates Shiva, Mahavishnu or Parmatma so it should never be treated as Brahma, Vishnu or Mahesh. Brahma, Vishnu & Mahesh are the three forces of Shiva.

Note: This General Meaning of Sanskrit Shloka gives a Guru or similar person a status of Parmatma and thus it is not in agreement with the Great Wordings एको हि रुद्रो न द्वितियाय तस्थु र्य (Eko Hi Rudro Ne Dwitiyaya Tsthutharya) of Shewatashewatara Upanishida which means, “He the Rudra is the only one and no one is there like him which can make him the second” so a Human Guru can never replace him and if it is so then the validity of that Sanskrit Vedic Shloka becomes questionable.

(3) To understand the Sanskrit Shloka about the Excellence Of Guru it is essential to trace the चाक्षुषी उपनिषद (Chakshui Upanishda) but before that it is equally important to say some more wordings about it they are as below:

(i)We the Hindus recite चाक्षुषी उपनिषद (Chakshui Upanishda) from Vedic era to cure every type of Eye Diseases and still its recitation is in continuation in this modern era.

(ii) A deep understanding of चाक्षुषी उपनिषद (Chakshui Upanishda) reveals that there are three types of blinds in this world 1. Physically Blind. 2. Intellectually Blind.  3. Spiritually Blind. A physically Blind can have advanced Intellectual and Spiritual visions but a person with good eyesight can be Intellectual and Spiritual Blind. Spiritual Blindness is considered to be the top followed by Intellectual Blindness and Physical Blindness e.g. The Kuru King Dhrittashtra was Physically, Intellectually and Spiritually Blind and Physically Blind Hindi Kavi Surdas had wonderful Intellectual and Spiritual penetrative sights.

Note: In चाक्षुषी उपनिषद (Chakshui Upanishda) there is a great saying, “असतो मा सद्गमय” (Asto Maa Sadgamya) here the prayer is made to bring one from Untruth to Truth which clearly indicates that it is the Prayer  to get a vision to distinguish between Truth & False, Good & Bad, Justice & Injustice and Good Conduct & Misconduct. Any person not having the vision to distinguish between Truth and Untruth is a Blind on Intellectual Grounds because distinguishing between Truth & Untruth is the Subject of Intellect.

Note: In चाक्षुषी उपनिषद (Chakshui Upanishda) again there is a Mantra, “तमसो मा ज्योतिर्गमय” (Tamso Maa Jyotirgamay). In this Mantra Prayer has been made to bring one from Tamas (Extreme Darkness) to Jyoti (Eternal Light). If this is for the Night Value to Day Value then it cannot find its place in this Upanishada and for good eyesight there are already given several valuable Mantra and this Mantra starts after Asto Maa Sadgamya that clearly reflects that this is related to Antaraatma (Spirit) who resides in human body away from Parmatma in this Mrituloka (Earth). That Spirit wants to merge into Parmatam the source of divine Light. If a person does not have the vision to think about the Divine World he is Blind on Spiritual Ground because distinguishing between Darkness & Light is the subject of Wisdom and Awakening.

(iii) Every Mantra is ruled by a Devta and this चाक्षुषी उपनिषद (Chakshui Upanishda) is ruled by Devta Savitri. The Savitri, as defined in some other Vedic Text is White Complexioned Five Faced Youth Lady who rides on a Bull with having Trishula, Kamundala and Kapala. She the Shakti of Mahesh is the resident of Bhuvaloka (Sky). She on her appeasement gives her devotee the Aatmgyana (Knowledge Of Self). The concept of Parmatma exists in the memories of a Man which he could not see due to Tamas (Darkness) or Spiritual Blindness so it is on the mercy of Savitri he becoms able view the Parmatma existing in his memories.

Note: Surya is known as Savitri. According to Vedic Jyotish Surya (Sun) represents Shiva in Planetary Cabinet. Surya (Sun) is at the top or in 10th Bhava/House in Midday Sandhya. Abhijeet Murutha also exists exactly within the mid of Midday Sandhya. It is the most powerful position of Surya (Sun) as at this position Surya (Sun) shines with its maximum intensity with practically no Shadow (Darkness or Tamas or Ignorance represented by Rahu).

Note: Judges, Gurus, Astrologers, Writers, Professors and other similar person should recite चाक्षुषी उपनिषद (Chakshui Upanishda) in Abhijeet Murutha daily if they find it convenient to enhance Intellectual & Divine Sights.

(iv) The Sanskrit Shlok of spiritual basis is rewritten again:

तमसो मा ज्योतिर्गमय” (Tamso Maa Jyotirgamay)

(v) The Sanskrit word Tamas is also denoted by another Sanskrit word: गु (Gu) and other Sanskrit Word Jyoti is also represented by another Sanskrit Word: रु (Ru).

(vi) Now the Parmatma who only has power to bring one from Darkness (गु (Gu)) to Light (रु (Ru)).

(vii) In other words, Parmatma = गु (Gu) + रु (Ru) = गुरु (Guru) so there is no difference between Parmatma and Guru as He Is Only The Ultimate Guru. No One Is There To Replace Him.

(4) The 2nd line of very first Sanskrit Shloka describing Guru is rewritten below:

(i) Guruh Sakshaat Parbraham Tasmai Shrigurve Namah

(ii) In this line dedication is shown to Parbrahm, Parmatma or Shiva by addressing him Shriguru or Excellent Guru and rest like Brahma, Vishnu and Mahesh are asked to regard as Guru

(iii) The main work of Brahma is to create. On this Earth only Maithuni Creation occurs in almost all the creatures. According to Vedic Literatures a legally wedded Man & Woman sexually unites to create their Children so on Earth they represent Brahma and thus for their Children and thus in Vedic Literature the Parents are taken as First Guru for their Children thus it prove the validity of Gururbrhama.

(iv) When an infant crosses his infancy he is taken to School and he start proceeding in academy then his Teachers, Lecturers and Professors become his Guru. After the completion of around 25 years of his age if he wants to do Sadhana then that Superior Sadhaka under which he is doing Sadhana becomes his Guru. Every type of learning comes under Budh (Merury). Budh (Mercury) is ruled by Vishnu so every type of learning comes under Vishnu and thus Vishnu becomes the Guru. It proves the validity of Gururvishnu.

(v) After gaining the experiences of life a person himself becomes the Guru and at that age no one of his earlier Guru exists and his inclination then Deva Guru (Jupiter) acts as his Guru. Deva Guru (Jupiter) comes under the dominance of Mahesh as Mahesh is also known as Jagatguru, Devguru and Lokguru. His divine inspiration guides that person the position of Sun in daytime and that of Dhurav (Polestar) at night. This proves the validity of gururdevo Maheshwarah.

(vi) Nowadays people started saying that the ancient tradition of Hinduism nominates the rank of a Guru even superior to Parmatma and it is a wrong concept. How can the Image of a person be equated to that person? All the Guru except the Shiva are his Images some may be Fade Images like the Guru in human form, some are recognizable Images like Devguru Brispati (Jupiter) and Asurguru Shukra (Venus) and finally there are clear Images like the divine Trimurti the Brhman, Vishnu and Mahesh.

(vii) In fact Bhakt Kabirdas in one of his Hind Doha says about it and that Doha is given below:

गुरु गोबिन्द दोऊ खड़े, काके लागूँ पाँय।
बलिहारी गुरु आपने, गोबिन्द दियो मिलाय॥
(Guru Gobind Dau Khade, Kaake Laagun Paay)
Balhaai Guru Aapne, Gobind Diyo Milaay)

In this Doha Bhakt Kabirdas told that if he finds his Guru and Parmatma standing together then before whom he should bow first and finally he decided to bow before his Guru first as it was his Guru who made it possible for him to meet the Parmatma.

(viii) This Doha is always understood in a wrong way as it only reflects the obligation of him towards his Guru just as a child says that his Parents are more than Parmatma for him, A student says that his teachers are more than the Parmatma for him and a Sadhaka says exactly what the Bhakt Kabirdas says in his Doha.

Note: The learner only gets the essence of learning if he considers his Guru as more than a Parmatma in learning period.

Note: The motive of this Article is not to disregard your Guru in human form. In the year 2014 I published a small Article in my Facebook Public Group in this context and the picture of that Article is given below:

Chapter (II)
“What Does The Dharma Teach Us All?” – an article written by Vishal Aksh
(Follow link: https://www.facebook.com/vishal.aksh.7/posts/850501581794341 to view this Article written by me published on the timeline of my Facebook)

(1) Dharma gives you the way and spiritual insights to build your realistic image and impart you the position of trust provided you have seriously followed it. Sampredayavaad in modern times removes the inventive and godly thoughts from your mind and creates the figure of head of Sampradaay in your mind and with the passage of time that figure controls your mind and souls.

(2) The divine concept of Guru is followed in the learning period such as Sadhana, Education and like but Dharma never allows the entrance of Guru, Sadhu or similar person in your family and social life.

(3) Students of Jyotish know that Jupiter & Venus are two Guru and in female’s horoscope Jupiter signifies her husband and in male’s horoscope Venus signifies his wife. Out of Jupiter and Venus the Jupiter is the true Guru so the husband of a female is her true Guru and she does not require any Guru. In Shiva Purana it is written that without the permission of her husband a lady should not worship Shiva the Parmatma. In case of man his wife acts as his best guide and in confusing situations it is better for a man to take advice of his wife and this the second Guru Venus (Shukra) reflects.

(4) Nowadays the people have forgotten the real concept of Guru on account of this spreading Saampradayavaad. I am trying here to tell you the very concept of Guru as described in Dharma but before that keep in mind a common man with Dharmic and Karmic approaches leading a simple and meaningful family life is many times greater than a Sadhu, Mahent or head of Sampradaaya.

(5) A well qualified person who performs the Upnayan Sanskaar of his disciple and teaches his disciple about Rahasya (Yagya, Vidya & Upnishida), Kalpa and Vedas is known as Aacharya. You can see all the so called Aacharya do not have this qualification.

(6) A well qualified person teaches his disciple a part of Veda or Vedanga for his livelihood is known as Upadhyaya.

(7) A well qualified person under whose guidance all the Shodash Sanskaara are to be performed is called Guru

(8) A well qualified person who performs Agnishtom, Agnihotra and Pakyagyaadi Karma is known as Ritiwik.

(9) A well qualified person who is well versed in 18 purana, Ramayana, Vishnu Dharma (Dharma when viewed from Vishnu philosophy), Shiva Dharma (Dharma when viewed from Shiva philosophy), Mahabharata and Shroota and Smarta is known as Mahaguru. Merely the expertise in Bhagwata or Shiva Purana cannot make a person Mahaguru. A learned person heading any Sampradaya cannot be a Guru. The Guru is above all the Sampradaya. That Guru should be able to give Shaiv Mantra and Vaishnav mantra whichever fits on his disciple as per that Guru.

(10) In Veda there is a great Mantra:

ॐ अग्ने! व्रतपते!  चरिष्यामि, तच्छकेयं तन्मे राध्यताम्।
इदमहमनृतात्सत्यमुपैमि॥
[Om Agne! Vratpate! Vratam Charishayami, Tachchekayaam Tanme Raadhytaam
Idamahamnritaatsatymupame]

Translation in English: “O Agini (Here Parmatma not simple Fire) you are the lord of all the Vrataas like Ahinsa, Satyaacharan and following Dharma in a practical way in your divine presence I take the oath to follow the Dharma please bless me to do all such Vrataas and make me capable for them. Right from now I keep myself away from the evil thinking, bad acts or any form of bad act by accepting divine thoughts, good conduct and living of a truthful life.”

(11) The Vedic Mantra clearly indicates that there is no difference between Dharma and Satya. As I have said in one of the article written by me that the Dharma is also known as Satya, Vaishneva, Sanatan or Hindu.

(12) Everyone should leave Sampradaayavaad and follow the Dharma to unite world and to save mankind.

Chapter (III)
Why Guru (Jupiter) Is Known As Jeeva? – An Article Written By Vishal Aksh

(1)Several times I have told you that Vedic Jyotish is based on {1} Common sense and {2} The knowledge stored in Puranas. Every Vedic Astrologer should have a vision to understand that knowledge of Puranas and apply that to understand the secrets of Vedic Jyotish. Vedic Jyotish has its roots in Vedas and Puranas are best to understand Vedas.

(2) The ancient experts of Jyotish addressed Guru (Jupiter) as Jeeva. I have seen several Vedic astrologers taking the literal meaning of Jeeva as animal and thus Jupiter signifies the entire animal kingdom as per them. It is the wonder of Sanskrit and Jyotish that each meaning of a single Sanskrit word used as a terminology of Jyotish holds good.

(2.1) As per Shivapurana the Shresthee Krama (Cycle of creation) on this Mrituloka (Earth) evolves due to Maithuna (Sexual intercourse)and thus in literal mean the Jeeva indicates the product after sexual intercourse between a male and a female and that is why Jupiter is also termed as Santankarka (A planet signifying offspring). But that maithuni Shreesthi was not possible without Shukra (sperm) and the other Guru of Daitya (Devils) Shukra presides over Shukra (Sperm) and sexual intercourse between a male and a female. On this ground it may be considered that the Jeeva (Jupiter) is an evolution of the beeja (Seeds) Shukra (Venus) and thus both the Gurus Jupiter and Venus are responsible for this maithuni Shreesthi prevailing on this earth.

(3) But very few people know the other fact about Guru (Jupiter) being known as Jeeva and that has another great aspect in Vedic Jyotish. In Shivapurana it is written that once to meet Parmatama Shiva both the Devaguru Bristipati and Devaraja Indra went to Kailash and while on the way to Kailash Devaraja Indra saw a yogi in the state of Samadhi (Deep Trance) and then Devraja Indra asked that yogi about the Parmatma Shiva but that Yogi give no reply even the repeated queries from Devraja Indra. Devraja Indra took those silent actions of that Yogi as his insult and then he lost his temper and he hit the head of that Yogi by his Vajra (A weapon used by Indra).

(3.1) What was that? As soon as Devraja Indra hit the head of that yogi the countless volcanoes started appearing from the head of that yogi and then Devguru found Indra under the tides of fire emanating from the head of that Yogi.

(3.2) Then Devaguru saw Devraaja Indra by his Karunamayee drishtee (took him at a merciful glance) and that fire started growing and growing and to protect his brilliant student Indra that Sadguru saw that Yogi posited in the state of deep trance and he recognized that Yogi by his divine vision.

(3.3) That Yogi was Parmatma Shiva and thus for the protection of his brilliant student Indra the Sadguru (Jupiter) with folded hands was before the Mahaguru of Anantkoti Brhamsnda Shiva. What a divine scene that was!

(3.4) On account of divine prayers performed by Devaguru the Ashutosh Prabhu (A lord who pleases quickly) Shiva pleased & appeased and he then freed Indra from his divine anger.

(3.5)In that way Devguru gave Jeevan Daana (Donated new life) to Indra and that was why Devguru is also known as Jeeva.

(4) The aforesaid Katha (story) as described under (3), (3.1), (3.2), (3.4) & (3.5) indicates an astrological fact. Dear students if you concentrate on this Kaatha (story) and use your common sense you will find that Indra is the divine king and all the Navagrah from Sun to Ketu come under his dominance without him all the Navagrah become powerless and inactive (A vedic fact) and Devguru Brihispati is the Guru of Indra who protected him from the anger of Parmatma Shiva also protected Navagrah. It clearly indicates that Planet Guru protects Navagrah including himself and thus in any horoscope if an ill disposed planet comes under the aspect of Jupiter it gets protected to give auspicious results.

(5) Dear students if you want to get the depth of Vedic Jyotish then understand properly what has been written in Vedic literature.

Chapter (IV)Bottom of Form
Who is True Guru Deva Guru Brispati Or Asur Guru Shukaracharya?

In natural zodiac 4th house considered as Karka Rashi and also rules heart Jupiter gets exalted in this sign and this dignity is only given to Jupiter only.

In lagna or 10th (4 & 7 also) Jupiter forms powerful Hans yoga while in Kark, Dhanu or Meena rashiHere Hans stands for two meaning (1) Hans as a bird is supposed to separate milk from water so indicates extreme wisdom (2) Parmatma is also known as Hans and in Hans yoga Jupiter is dignified not Venus.

One of the sign ruled by Venus is Tula and it is an airy sign and other sign of Venus is Vrish an earthy sign and by nature Venus is watery planet so it lacks true spirituality and it does not mean it is not spiritual planet. The water is influenced by the Gravitational force but Guru freed one from the clutches of Gravitational force & Gravitational barrier.

On the other hand Jupiter has Akash Tatwa and one of its sign is Meena a watery sign and its Moola Trikona sign is Dhanur Rashi which is a fiery sign and everyone knows the flames of fire always upwards almost free from the gravity and gravitational barriers.Being of Akash tatwa and filed with these quality this Jupiter or Guru brings one from materialistic approach to spiritual approach and at last to the Parmatma the ultimate approach.

It takes years to understand this in true sense and without the blessing of Guru it is not possible.

Chapter (V)
Who is True Guru Deva Guru Brispati Or Asur Guru Shukaracharya? .....Part (02)

(1) I found the Jupiter's position if 1st, 2nd, 8th, 10th & 12th Bhava/House in Main chart & even in D27 Chart very important in making one Guru.

Note: This position of Jupiter to making one a Guru or similar to that should also be judged from Chara Aatmkaarka Planet both in Bhansh Chart (D27) and from Karakbhansh Lagna in Rashi Chart.

Note: Since 9th House stands for Guru then the position of Guru as described under (1) making one Guru or similar to that should also be judged with reference to the Aroodhpada Lagna of 9th House both in Rashi Chart as well in Bhansh Chart (D27)

(2) In my opinion it took many years to understand the concept of Jupiter and in this small post it is not possible to describe all.

(3) Atmkaarka concept propagated by Jamimi is actually from Brihit Prashara Hora Shaastra and this theory fails (1) In case of twin births (2) It is hardly impossible to predict from this theory (2) Annual horoscope (3) Horary Horoscopes. So two person having common horoscope, in case of twin with Aatmkaarka forming Guruyoga will make both of them Guru makes no sense.

(4) Guru, Kathavachak, preachers & Teachers comes under the influence of Jupiter depending on the strength of guru.

(5) Venus is the Guru of Rakshas but due to Rajsik nature of Venus as per Vedic Jyotish it will not be a Guru with satvik nature even though in
the sky it shines brighter than Jupiter. So Venus cannot replace Jupiter

(6) D20 chart, D27 chart & D5 charts along with Rashi Chart & Chalit Chakra are used to judge Guru yoga with spiritual power.

(7) Bollywood star Amitabh Bacchan from his famous KBC became like Guru he has powerful Venus in 8th with cancellation of debilitation replacing the position of Jupiter in 8th but again sorry to say he is not as Guru as texts on Vedic Jyotish permits.

(8) It is true definite position of Venus in any horoscope makes one Guru in the field of arts, music & up to certain extent literature too. But it is still far from the concept of true Guru.

Chapter (VI)
Jupiter in 12th Bhava / House Good or Bad

In Vedic astrology you cannot assign fixed results to any planet occupying any Bhava / house and it entirely depends on the complete judgment of horoscope.

In Vedic astrology every planet is supposed to give results on three prospects:

(1)
Physical Prospects: If you find Jupiter ill disposed in Ekadashansh Chart (D11), Shodashansh Chart (D16) and Trishmansh Chart(D30) only then being in 12th Bhava / house it will prove inauspicious regarding, financial attainments, acquisition of valuable assets and vehicles and sound health but from this position it will aspect 4th, 6th & 8th houses so it gives protection & narrow escapes from major accidents.

(2)
Mental Prospects: If in any horoscope it is found that Jupiter occupying 12th house is well disposed in the Kendras of Saptvinshansh Chart (D27) in its own or exaltation sign then under this position Jupiter aspects 4th, 6th & 8th Bhavas / house in main chart the it gives one satisfaction, power to grapple with his inner foes such as Kaama (desires leading to destruction), Krodha (anger), Lobha (greediness), Moha (excess of affection leading to the loss of sense of judgement), Mada (increased ego leading to madness) & Maya (Illusion) and here it gives instinct to practice occult as it also aspects 8th Bhava / house in one'smain chart.

(3)
Spiritual Prospects: If in any horoscope it is found that Jupiter occupying 12th house is well disposed in Vinshansh (D20) & Panchmansh (D5) charts in its own or exaltation sign in kendra / trikona and in main chart it occupies 12th house (Moksh Sthana / the house of liberty) and from here it aspect 4th house, 6th house & 8th house then it gives (1) Eternal joy  or Aatmik Sukh i.e. Sat, Chit & Ananda or one here it leads one towards Sacchidanad Parmatma as it aspects 4th house, 6th house also stands for debts and in terms of spirituality it clears all the three major debts debts such as Matri rina, Pitra rina & Achary rina and this position makes one free from cycle of births on earth, in this case Jupiter also aspects 8th house then under such condition it brings one from occult (8th) house i.e. Maya (darkness of illusions) to eternal light as Jupiter is Guru and it removes every kind of darkness and brings one from Tamsik darkness to satvik light.

(4) If in any horoscope Jupiter in 12th house is strong as described under (2) & (3) one becomes Guru and enlightens others also.
(5) Jupiter in 1st, 2nd, 8th, 10th or 12th Bhava / House in any horoscope makes on Guru.

Chapter (VII)
“Guru Yoga” – an article written by Vishal Aksh
(This article written by me was first published at my Hindi Facebook Page. Follow link: https://www.facebook.com/permalink.php?story_fbid=863389473782961&id=856959071092668 to view it there or Link: http://horoanalysis.blogspot.in/2017/05/guru-yoga-article-written-by-vishal-aksh.html)

Lord Parashara in his “Brihitparasharhorashaastram” writes, “Sutesh Matribhavane chiram Matrisukham Bhavet. Lakshmiyuktah Subuddhisch Sachivopyathva Guru”

English Translation:- Anyone having 5th lord in 4th house such person gets blessings of his mother for a very long time, he is rich, of pure intelligence, secretary or a Guru

Interpretation: - O learners and researchers of Vedic Jyotish!
After going through the aforesaid Shloka and its meaning for a while then concentrate on the natural contents of 5th house then you will get

 (1) In any Horoscope fifth house stands for children, wisdom and a triangular house and it comes under the natural jurisdiction of Jupiter

(2) This Jupiter signifying 5th house gets exalted in 4th house Cancer of natural zodiac so the placement of 5th lord in 4th house follows this theory.

For the benefits of all of you students I am presenting my findings about this Guru Yoga:

 (1) If the 5th lord is a planet other then Jupiter and it receives the aspect of Jupiter or in conjunction with Jupiter then this Guru Yoga becomes more powerful.

[Judge this Guru Yoga in other Sub Divisional Charts like Bhansh(D27) for the talents of lecturing, Siddhansh (D24) for the eligibility of academic lecturing and  in Vinshansh (D20) & Panchmansh (D5) for becoming Guru in the fields of spirituality and religion. It should also be judged in Dashmansh (D10).]

Chapter (VIII)
Guru (Jupiter) In Third House
(Follow link: https://www.facebook.com/vishal.aksh.7/posts/312264208951417 to view this post written by me on the timeline of my facebook or Link: https://horoanalysis.wordpress.com/2015/07/30/jupiter-in-third-house/)

(1.1) There is a great deal of confusion among astrologers regarding the position of Jupiter in 3rd house and some astrologers treat it as an inauspicious house for Jupiter

(1.2) In ancient text on Vedic astrology both auspicious and inauspicious results has been attributed to the position of Jupiter in third house such as (1) The person having Jupiter in third house is miser, takes wrong way in his life and even though he is rich but suffers from loss of wealth (2) Person with Jupiter in third house is rich, chief man of his family and admired by beautiful females. These results are very general and need to be modified.

(1.3) In my years long experience in the field of Vedic astrology I have seen various results of Jupiter in third house in different horoscopes and some of them are given below:

(1.4) Even if Jupiter is debilitated in third house it gives prosperity and under such condition if Jupiter is well disposed in D10 chart it gives professional prosperity. Here afflicted Jupiter gives some health problems like neurotic problems to that person’s brother.

(1.5) In D24 chart if this Jupiter is debilitated in third house with Saturn in 5th house it gives competitive success in the field of education and same combination in D10 chart gives one professional success through competitions.

(1.6) For Vrish Lagna the placement of Jupiter in third house gives one good job but full of hurdles and for Tula Lagna this position of Jupiter gives one excellence in position in his job and even professional success through competition but here it also gives health problems affecting his progress of excellance.

(1.7) If D10 Lagna is Tula and Jupiter is in 3rd house it gives one professional excellence in the field of accounts and audit.

(1.8) In Kark Lagna weak and afflicted Jupiter in third house gives clashes between his parents and health problems to his parents and if it occupies 6th or 8th house in debilitation in D9 chart it gives chain of miseries to his life partner.

(1.9) In Kark Lagna if Jupiter is strong in third house this gives one prosperity and foreign residence or residence in distant lands.

(1.10) Jupiter in third house gives health problems to one’s parents.

(1.11) For Mithun Lagna Jupiter in third house with Sun in 10th house gives powerful Rajya yoga (Political Success) in the Mahadasha of Sun.

Chapter (IX)
Mahadasha Of Vakri Jupiter As Functional Malefic or benefic

(1) The concept of functional benefice or malefic needs expansion. we can not apply this rule to entire horoscope for example Jupiter as per classical astrology is malefic for Makar and Kumbh lagna but if it is well disposed in D10 chart being yogakarka for D10 then the retrograde Jupiter cannot stop giving professional successes but being malefic for Lagna kundli it wil give physical ailments to that person particularly in case of Kumbh lagna.

(2) For Kark lagna Mars is supposed to be the best planet but if it is not well disposed in D10 chart then in retrograde position it will not give much success on materialistic ground

(3)
Thus even to calculate functional benefice or malefic planets for a particular horoscope is not a joke.

(4) In general for Tula, Mithun and Kanya lagna the dasha of Jupiter does not find to give good results but there are exceptions too even in case of vakri Jupiter.

(5) Vakri Jupiter forming dainey yoga found to give top order rajya yoga (Political Success) also.
